My new single is coming out in only a week! If you've pre-ordered on my BandCamp page, you should be receiving a copy of the song in your email box soon. Someone please remind me quickly if this doesn't happen today!
As for the rest of you... check this website next week - June 14th, 2014 - for a brand new song for allllll! It'll be free for everyone to enjoy, but if you have self control issues, feel free to jump on the pre-order right this second and you'll get the single almost a week before everybody else! [...]
Helloooooo peeps! Guess what? I'm releasing another single!
Woo woot woot woot
In about 2 weeks (June 14th, 2014 to be more precise) I'll be releasing my song "I Want You With Me" for your listening pleasure. It's got a bit more of a harder feeling to it, like my last track, but a bit more dreamier. I couldn't resist throwing on more of that sweet sweet robotic backup vocal stuff too.
The plan is this: In 2 weeks, the song will be published, and everyone can enjoy it for free. [...]
Basically I got to come down, hang out for a bit before the show, and then enjoyed a full hour of talking on the air and playing a few songs for them. It was sweeeeeet, and so much fun! I'm pretty sure I made an audio recording of my own performances somewhere (I'll have to get back to you on that), but in the meantime, here's a copy of the entire episode, that they've posted to youtube: [...]

It's 6:15am and I should definitely be going to sleep instead of writing this. Yay me! I'm just in a ranty mood right now. Actually I'm in a ranty mood lately. I was hanging out with my mom after the gym last night, and at one point I realized I had been talking nonstop to her for like... an hour. I literally was talking and talking and talking about every fine minute detail of the most inconsequential things. Shit like... the statistical probability that someone would have a certain personality profile because they watched some stupid movie.
I think its because I've been working reallyyyy hard on some programs the last few months and I just crossed a major barrier where I can sort of relax, and not program, and so now I'm basically going insane...
Hey Fans ... I don't hate you
So yeah, I want to rant about something that happened a little while ago. Its not super bad but its kind of driving a nail through my brain right now. I received a friend request on facebook from a girl who seemed pretty nice. Wondering if she was a bot, or if maybe she had made a mistake by trying to befriend some random aging computer nerd on facebook, I asked if we knew each other from anywhere. [...]

Hello you dudes! I know its been awhile since I've sent out a newsletter. If you don't remember me, we probably met briefly while I was holding an acoustic guitar somewhere, or perhaps you sent me some sort of instant message online and I replied by trashing your inbox with free Mp3s.
I recorded a new cover song a little bit ago. Its not much but I thought it'd be fun to do. Its the song "Just Dropped In" by Kenny Rogers, from the movie "The Big Lebowski". It's from the scene where Lebowski gets knocked out and has a hallucination/dream where he dances and struts up to grab a pair of bowling shoes from Saddam Hussein, then becomes a human bowling ball that looks up girls skirts haha. You know the one I'm talking about. [...]
As I wrote in my last blog, I've decided it's more important to me than anything else, that everyone has the chance to own a copy of my music - and not just one or a few freebie tracks - I mean all of it.
Too many times, I've had fans message me about only owning 1 or 2 songs because they couldn't afford more and didn't want to pirate my music. To me, that's a tragedy. That's enjoyment and good times lost because of money. Also I'm sure I've lost way too many potential fans when someone didn't listen at all because they couldn't afford to buy. [...]
So ... I've been dancing around this idea for a long long time, but you've probably already gathered from the title of this blog that I'm thinking about making all my music free.
Some of you are probably thinking "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY", and I'm glad. You're the biggest reason why I'd like to do this, of course.
Others are probably thinking "Oh nyooooooo Mike! What about all teh moniezez omggggz!!!1"
You know what though? The funny thing about this situation is... I don't make that much money from music. Seriously. At least not from digital downloads. I do get lucky sometimes and make a ton of money selling CDs at a live show, or getting paid to show up and play music somewhere, or getting free money/merch to rep some company for a brief time. And of course the occasional fan will buy a T-Shirt. Those things are rad, of course. [...]
Happy Mother's Day to all the mama's out there, trying to do the best for their kids, and those soaking up all the glory for the years they've already put in.
If you're not a mom, give a mom a hug today!
And yeah... I guess you could say I didn't plan out the release date of my new single very well. As usual I was just really really excited about it and went "Well how about a week and a half from now derpppppp".
Wait no, maybe I did that on purpose just so you'd think it was funny and buy all my music lol. [...]
The song is called "I'm Such a Drag (Just Sometimes)". I know I know. Laugh it up, but that's the title I went for lol.
So yeah - at this very moment, you can already pre-order it on my little page at BandCamp. I'm setting the price at $1 as usual. Pay more if you can. Listen for free after the release date here or on Spotify and ish.
Also I think I keep forgetting to mention this, but if you really don't have the cash, you can still earn a free copy of this and any other Mp3. All you have to do is pretty much be awesomely supportive, then ask. I give stuff away all the time. Well maybe I'll wait a month or so after this one releases, but you know what I'm saying. [...]
